DGI Trading is proud to support the Kempsey Saints Football Club and their Women’s squad as they continue to represent the Macleay Valley on the state stage. As a major sponsor, we have been backing the team in their journey to the Women’s State Cup, helping them gain valuable experience and exposure against strong competition from across New South Wales.

The Women’s State Cup was held on 12 and 13 July at the Macquarie Field Sporting Complex in Speers Point. The tournament gives regional teams the chance to test themselves against opponents from higher levels of competition including National Premier League squads and Metro teams. The Saints have built a strong record in the competition over the years, reaching the grand final in both 2021 and 2024.

This year, preparation was disrupted by heavy rain and flooding in the lead-up, but the squad showed resilience and matched the intensity of their opponents across every game. They faced tough sides such as Charlestown Azzurri, Mid Coast Development and Cooks Hill, who beat the Saints in last year’s grand final to claim their second consecutive title.

Sixteen players represented the Kempsey Saints this year. Young gun Karri Stevens, just 14 years old, was voted Player of the Tournament by her teammates. The Coaches Award for 100 percent effort went to Chelsea Stringer for her outstanding work on and off the ball.
