DGI Trading attended Sydney’s premier mining conference and exhibition, AIMEX, held at the Sydney Olympic Showground in Homebush last week.

AIMEX was well attended, with over 500 local and international exhibitors on the floor. The DGI team were proud to take this opportunity to network with valued customers and suppliers over this internationally-recognised 2-day event.

The common theme among exhibitors was focused on technology and innovation, with a visible increase in survey and delivery drones featuring in contrast to previous years. Aftermarket solutions were ever-present for a range of consumables including rubber, plastics, hoses, undercarriage and GET.

Mining PPE and environmental solutions were also on display, with a heavy focus on regeneration and minimising waste and/or carbon emissions. The consistent increase in presence of environmentally focused mining products are a positive indicator of the sustainable shift in our industry.

It was positive to see five of Australia’s largest miners physically in attendance with Centennial, Glencore, Mach Energy, Whitehaven and Yancoal all with dedicated floorspace.
