Caterpillar D11T blade tilt cylinders can be easily interchanged from either the left or right side of the machine through a head rotation and relatively minor modifications to the cylinder barrel.
By mirroring the step and handle on both sides of the cylinder, this modification is an effective way to utilise existing stock to suit multiple outputs. So much so, that OEM repairers are now using this modification to allow them to carry less Caterpillar D11T stock with higher utilisation.
