DGI Trading are pleased to announce the acquisition of 5 x Caterpillar 797B trucks from Central Queensland, Australia earlier this month.
The Caterpillar 797B is the largest mechanical drive truck produced by Caterpillar. At a width of 9.4 metres and gross machine operating weight of 637 tonnes, these impressive units boast a 380 tonne payload.
Three of these units acquired by DGI have already been transported to Hastings Deering in Mackay for processing, pending export to Canada to be completely rebuilt. This initial leg of their global remarketing journey to Mackay has been carefully co-ordinated on platform trailers by DGI’s logistics team.
The remaining two units will be dismantled for component remarketing. These trucks have been under Marc Dealer contract for the majority of their lives, and feature several low hour components which are favourable for redistribution.
With the addition of these machines to our recently dismantled stock, DGI have now dismantled a total of 8 x Caterpillar 797B trucks.
